Punch Class Projects

Well hi there....

I have been wanting to get on here to post something for ages but one thing after another has prevented me. The last namely being a pinched nerve in my neck which I have been suffering through for about a week now. Lots of Brufen and a couple of physio appointments later here I am still not fully recovered but able to do most things!!! Enough of me wingeing...

Now on Friday I held a class luckily it was just one girl and me so it wasnt to strenuous but these are the projects we did...

This first one is a punch pig from Heather Summers and it is adorable....

Isnt he just the cutest!!!! This is the front and back of the card!

The Giraffe below is also a Heather summers design. Im pretty pleased with how the card I made for him turned out...

I did have to substitute punches though so Its not exact but I think he turned out great. Isnt he just precious!!!!

Next Danee Hoangs Flamingo!!!

He is just so simple to make this ltitle guy and isnt the palm tree cool the leaves are created using the five petal punch.

Last but not least is Mr Bunny which is from Caroll Ann Davis...

Im not sure where the design from the basket came from???

I must say Im loving my punches at the moment. The possibilities are endless. This would have to have been my most favorite class to do ever.

If you would like to attend my classes please let me know (Perth Western Australia residents only Sorry). We have a lot of fun and you get to learn how to make the most out of your Stampin' Up! products. They are run on the first Friday of every month. So... hope to hear from you!!!

Well Im off to see a man about a dog!

Progressive Scrapbooking

Hello There

I have been a bit busy lately - same ole story aye! When am I not busy you ask well maybe when Im asleep! No way Im a prolific dreamer at night I dream constanstly from when my head hits the pillow till I wake in the morning (usually exhausted cause I can never get any deep sleep done)

But I Digress!!! Enough about my sleeping habits lol!
I have a cool subject to share with you. I first came accross progressive scrapbooking at a Stampin! Up! Regional Seminar I attended last year. And to say at the very least it interested me. But Ive actually taken that idea a step further than what I actaully saw that day. I thought one day looking at my many card samples in my portfolio what would happen if I wanted to say take a card and make it into a srapbooking page so here the story starts.......

I made this card the other day....

and I thought Id love to take the colour scheme and the elements that make up this card and turn it into a 6x6 scrapbooking page and this is what I came up with...

So Ive used the same colour scheme, wheel and the dsp... Next I made an A4 scrapbooking page...

On this page Ive used the same technique that I used with the bird on the card for the heart. There is a place where you can now add journalling or a heading... Lastly the finished 12x12 layout I came up with...

Now Ive incorporated the whisper white c/s in aswell you could use the squares for photos or to journal in.
I hope you have enjoyed my shot at progressive scrapbooking and if you are lacking in a bit of inspiration get your cards out and morph one into a awesome scrapbooking page!
Here are the supplies I used
Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White cardstock.
Sweet Always DSP
Always Stampset, Always in Bloom wheel
Whisper White Grosgrain and Bashful Blue wide double stiched ribbons
Scallop Edge Punch, various Circle Punches
Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip Inks and Markers
Love Always

Not Stamping Related But....

Just wanted to share...
When I went over to Canberra for our Stampin' Up! Convention I also got the chance to visit with my Sweet Nanna!!! Nanna lives in Campbeltown about 2 hours from Sydney and boy did we pack a lot into the three day I was there!!!

So here is just a few of the places we went to....

This picture was taken of the Lotus Fragrance Pavillion Over Water in the Chinese Garden of Friendship in Darling Harbour. This place was awe inspiring it was so beautiful and if you paid $10 you got to dress up in traditional Chinese clothes and walk through the garden and get your picture taken! Like these people below how awesome is that!!!

We also went to see the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House which I hadnt seen since I was 13 I was thrilled to see it again...

Isnt it awesome!! Hey Mr Seagul get out of my picture your ruining the view LOL!
and of course the opera house which is MASSIVE!

(the bridge is to the left of this picture)

We also went through Hyde Park in the heart of of Sydney here is the massive fountain they have in the middle of the park.

We also went to Bowral the gorgeous little town I was born in...

This picture is typical of Bowral these gorgeous trees are everywhere. Its just so pretty! Bowral is situated between Canberra and Sydney I drove through it on my way through to Sydney from Canberra then drove back my last day before I flew back to Perth.

I even visited the hospital they took my mum to. I was born two and a half months premature and only weighed in at 1.8kg (3 pounds 9 ounces in the old scale) They thought I was gonna die and Christened me but I survived. What my poor Mother must have gone through!
Well that was just a small snapshot of my time over East as I took over 650 photos all up (thanks for being so patient Nanna)
I wish I could show them all to you

My Swaps for Convention!

Well Hello There

I wanted to show you the swaps I did for convention... I did 75 all up. One I donated to Stampin' Up! and three I kept for my portfolio. So all up I was able to Swap 71!!!

Well here they all are...in one glorious neat pile!!!

I did three separate flowers in assorted colours but these next three were my favourite colour combinations

We have the Banksia (which by the way Banksias remind me of The Big Bad Banksia Men from Snugglepot and Cuddlepie an Iconic Australian Childrens book written by the clever May Gibbs)

Then the beautiful Waratah which I believe is NSW's state flower...

Last but certainy not least is the ever delightful Gum Blossoms...

Let me tell ya I was still doing these swaps on the flight over scrunched up in an airplane seat lol! Also the night before the first day of convention in the hotel room lol!!!

Supplies for these cards
Stampset: Blooms Away, Sanded
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Inks: Kiwi Kiss, Black Stazon, for the flowers I used a combination of different colours including Rose red, Summer Sun, Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie amongst many others
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Tafetta & Thick Grosgrain Ribbons
Tools: Distressing Tool
Techniques: Crumpling of Cardstock, Blender Pens and Inks (My blender pens are trashed I need new ones lol!!!)
