So here is the information that I have gathered so far...
Stampin' Up have announced that they are retiring 30 colours from our colour range. I know its a bit of a shock to the system at first but once you know the full story you will be as thrilled with the changes as I am!
When I first heard about it and saw what colours were retiring I was a tad sad... Goodbye Close to Cocoa, Sage Shadow, Mellow Moss... Goodbye Cameo Coral, Pale Plum and Pixie Pink! But HELLO Daffodil Delight how cheery you are, HELLO Early Expresso how yummy you look, HELLO Cherry Cobbler if you were a smell you'd smell very nice indeed!!! And WELCOME back old favourites... River Rock and Wild Wasabi!!! These are just a few of the colours Im looking forward to in this exciting new Colour Renovation!!!
So to break it down here is the info you need to know!
Stampin' Up! have spent a year and a half researching Colours, trends, design and fashions to come up with a gorgeous aray of up to date delicious colours to see us into the next few years and beyond!
This Colour Renovation will take effect from 1st of September when we release our brand new main Idea Book & Catalogue.
The new colour palette will be organized into four collections: Subtles, Brights, Regals, and Neutrals. You will see 25 of our current colours remaining, and ten past In Colours returning as core colours, and the addition of five new core colours.
One part of our Colour Renovation that we're sure you're going to love is the new In Colour programme! Each year we will introduce five new In Colours, and they will remain for two years. This means that the 2010-2011 In Colours will be introduced this year, but will not be retired until the 2012-2013 colours are introduced. This year there will be only be five In Colours, but after that, we will always have ten (the previous year's plus the new).
Im terribly excited about the whole thing and to name just a few positives I can see from all this include:
- making it easier for new customers to choose colours they like
- less overwhelming, smaller colour families make it less daunting to create gorgeous projects
- more to spend on other items in the catalogue
- The incolours will stick around for longer YAY!!!
I look forward to the next few months as a demonstrator using my colours that are retiring and giving them a terrific send off!!!
If you have any questions please dont hesitate to flick me an email and I would be more than happy to help with any queries you may have!!!!
