Mothers Day Easel Card!

Im in love with Easel Cards at the moment I think they are just a gorgeous idea. So easy to make and a versatile card that doubles as a gift because it is not only given but will be proudly displayed by the receiver!

I made this particular one (the first one I ever made in fact) for my dear Mother in Law for Mothers Day last May.

and here is a close up of the side...

The colours I have used are Melon Mambo, Pink Pirouette, Elegant Eggplant, Old Olive, Whisper White and Kraft. The Stampset is one of my all time favourites which is sadly retired the beautiful Bodacious Bouquet and I used Occasional Greetings for the sentiment. Of course I also used Dazzling Diamonds Glitter to add a bit of sparkle!

Enjoy!!!

Medallion Progressive Scrapbooking

Remember the scrapbooking page from this Recent Post well I decided to turn it into Progressive Scrapbooking and I think it worked out pretty well. I even demonstrated it at a workshop and it was soooo simple to do! So here is my A4 scrapbooking page...

As you can see Ive put the medallions on the other side and used slightly different hodgepodge hardware.

Then I created a 6x6 scrapbooking page. I love scrapping in this size you can not only use it for general scrapbooking like brag books and such but often they look stunning actually put into a square frame.

Last but certainly not least is this gorgeous card. I just love this Medallion Stamp to death!!!

Progressive Scrapbooking Great Friend

I went to a team day a while ago and this is one of the projects we did. This layout was created by the very talented Janice Klass. I just loved it so much that I thought it would be great to expand on her idea so I held a Progressive Scrapbooking class.
So this 12x12 page was Janices' idea...

and could be turned into this A4 page (this is what we did on the day)...

and I came with this little 6x6 page below...

and finally this card...

I really enjoyed this particular class and the girls loved it too!
The great friend Stampset would have to be one of my all time favourite stampsets and this colour combination is just to die for (baja breeze, pink pirouette, saharah sand, whisper white and kraft)
Enjoy!

Punch Class Projects

Well hi there....

I have been wanting to get on here to post something for ages but one thing after another has prevented me. The last namely being a pinched nerve in my neck which I have been suffering through for about a week now. Lots of Brufen and a couple of physio appointments later here I am still not fully recovered but able to do most things!!! Enough of me wingeing...

Now on Friday I held a class luckily it was just one girl and me so it wasnt to strenuous but these are the projects we did...

This first one is a punch pig from Heather Summers and it is adorable....

Isnt he just the cutest!!!! This is the front and back of the card!

The Giraffe below is also a Heather summers design. Im pretty pleased with how the card I made for him turned out...

I did have to substitute punches though so Its not exact but I think he turned out great. Isnt he just precious!!!!

Next Danee Hoangs Flamingo!!!

He is just so simple to make this ltitle guy and isnt the palm tree cool the leaves are created using the five petal punch.

Last but not least is Mr Bunny which is from Caroll Ann Davis...

Im not sure where the design from the basket came from???

I must say Im loving my punches at the moment. The possibilities are endless. This would have to have been my most favorite class to do ever.

If you would like to attend my classes please let me know (Perth Western Australia residents only Sorry). We have a lot of fun and you get to learn how to make the most out of your Stampin' Up! products. They are run on the first Friday of every month. So... hope to hear from you!!!

Well Im off to see a man about a dog!

Progressive Scrapbooking

Hello There

I have been a bit busy lately - same ole story aye! When am I not busy you ask well maybe when Im asleep! No way Im a prolific dreamer at night I dream constanstly from when my head hits the pillow till I wake in the morning (usually exhausted cause I can never get any deep sleep done)

But I Digress!!! Enough about my sleeping habits lol!
I have a cool subject to share with you. I first came accross progressive scrapbooking at a Stampin! Up! Regional Seminar I attended last year. And to say at the very least it interested me. But Ive actually taken that idea a step further than what I actaully saw that day. I thought one day looking at my many card samples in my portfolio what would happen if I wanted to say take a card and make it into a srapbooking page so here the story starts.......

I made this card the other day....

and I thought Id love to take the colour scheme and the elements that make up this card and turn it into a 6x6 scrapbooking page and this is what I came up with...

So Ive used the same colour scheme, wheel and the dsp... Next I made an A4 scrapbooking page...

On this page Ive used the same technique that I used with the bird on the card for the heart. There is a place where you can now add journalling or a heading... Lastly the finished 12x12 layout I came up with...

Now Ive incorporated the whisper white c/s in aswell you could use the squares for photos or to journal in.
I hope you have enjoyed my shot at progressive scrapbooking and if you are lacking in a bit of inspiration get your cards out and morph one into a awesome scrapbooking page!
Here are the supplies I used
Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White cardstock.
Sweet Always DSP
Always Stampset, Always in Bloom wheel
Whisper White Grosgrain and Bashful Blue wide double stiched ribbons
Scallop Edge Punch, various Circle Punches
Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie and Chocolate Chip Inks and Markers
Love Always

Christmas workshop

Hi everyone
Well here are some projects I did at a couple of workshops recently...

A gift bag, gift tags and a card...

This gift bag above was so easypeazy to make we were shown this by Derek from Stampin' Up! Perth Regionals. One 12x12 sheet of DSP no cutting just folding and sticky strip. I chose to use Holiday Harmony DSP, Always Artichoke & Whisper White C/S. Holiday Wishes stampset. I created the flower using Bud Basics and the Pretties Kit and Purely Pomegranate and Always Artichoke Inks. I used Mellow Moss ribbon with antique brads for the handles.

These tags above were quite easy as well. The colours I used were Purely Pomegranate, Wild Wasabi and Kraft. The stampsets I used Sanded, Fun and Fast Notes and Greetings Galore.

This card above we all made together the colours I used were Garden Green, Ruby Red, Whisper White for the C/S. Old Olive Ribbon. Old Olive, Garden Green, Ruby Red and Close to Cocoa Markers. Many Merry Messages, Sanded and Lovely as a Tree were the stampsets that were used. I used the sponge dauber to blend the colours on the tree after we used the markers to ink the stamp up. I love the effect it created and everyones tree turned out so different it was great.
thanks for looking & hope you are having a great week!

Hello all

I have been a bit absent lately I apologise.
Here is a card I helped a friend make for Mothers Day recently.
I used the heartfelt thanks & ittybitty background stampsets I also used the bold brights color family for the cardstock and finished it up with a piece of certainly celery ribbon.
I just love using the markers for that more alive look...
On another note I had my dear sister Lizz and her boyfrend Dave around for dinner last night which was great. They are such a cute couple...
Well I will try and post a different card, page or alterable once a week.
